Stump Grinding in Jacksonville, FL
That's right, we grind our own stumps. The Bandit SG-75 runs on rubber tracks like the rest of our equipment, fits through a yard gate, and is remote controlled, so the operator stands at a safe distance while it makes quick work of your stump.

Stump Grinding
Stumps gone, lawn intact
A stump left behind sprouts, attracts termites and ants, and is in the way of mowing and landscaping. Grinding takes it below grade so grass or a new planting can go over it; the rest of the root system breaks down on its own.
The grinder rides in on its own tracks, so there are no ruts across the yard and no truck in your flower bed. Chips are raked into the hole or hauled off, whichever you prefer.

Why it matters
Why grind the stump
No more sprouting from the old trunk.
Fewer termites, ants and fungus in the yard.
A level lawn you can mow straight across.
Room to plant, pave or build.
Safer footing for kids and guests.
Better curb appeal.
Try it
Describe your stumps, get a plan
How many stumps, how big, how we get to them and how soon. You get what we would bring and a pre-filled estimate request.
Fresh cuts and old stumps alike
Whether we removed the tree last week or the stump has sat for years, the SG-75 grinds it below ground level. Large oak and pine stumps are routine.
Add it to a removal
Most customers have the stump ground in the same visit as the removal. Ask for it on the estimate and it is one price for the whole job.
Tight spaces
Tracked and remote controlled, the grinder reaches stumps along fences, beside driveways and in back yards that a towed grinder cannot get to.

Questions
Stump Grinding FAQ
How deep do you grind a stump?
Typically several inches below grade, enough to lay sod or plant over it. Deeper grinding for a new foundation or paving is available; tell us the plan at the estimate.
Can the grinder get into my back yard?
The Bandit SG-75 is on rubber tracks and fits through a standard yard gate, so yes, in almost every case.
What happens to the chips?
They can be raked back into the hole, left in a pile for your beds, or hauled away. Your choice at the estimate.
Will the roots keep growing?
Once the stump is ground, the roots lose their source and break down over time. A few species may send up sprouts for a season; mowing takes care of them.
Do you grind stumps without removing a tree first?
Yes. Stump-only jobs are welcome, from one stump to a cleared lot. Every job is a minimum of $950; added to a removal, the stump is part of the one price.
