Typically several inches below grade, enough to lay sod or plant over it. Deeper grinding for a new foundation or paving is available; tell us the plan at the estimate. ### Can the grinder get into my back yard? The Bandit SG-75 is on rubber tracks and fits through a standard yard gate, so yes, in almost every case. ### What happens to the chips? They can be raked back into the hole, left in a pile for your beds, or hauled away. Your choice at the estimate. ### Will the roots keep growing? Once the stump is ground, the roots lose their source and break down over time. A few species may send up sprouts for a season; mowing takes care of them. ### Do you grind stumps without removing a tree first? Yes. Stump-only jobs are welcome, from one stump to a cleared lot. Every job is a minimum of $950; added to a removal, the stump is part of the one price.
